Information You Submit
A name, telephone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the resulting service. Our servers do not keep a separate copy of those queries. If you contact us, we receive the information included in your message and use it to respond.
Automatic Information
Like most hosted services, the host may create routine logs containing an IP address, browser information, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate to maintain the service and understand use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate, secure, measure, and improve the service and to answer messages. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Links lead to Massachusetts and Wakefield records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search services. Their own privacy terms govern information submitted to them. This includes any sponsored result or outside search provider.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers may process ordinary logs for us. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Information is disclosed when a valid legal process requires it and otherwise only as described here.
Safeguards and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only as long as needed for the stated purposes. There are no user accounts, passwords, or personal profiles maintained here.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If a minor has sent us information, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where a visitor lives, the visitor may have rights to ask about personal data a service holds. Contact us through the Contact Us page to request access, correction, or deletion of information we hold. Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66 and 950 CMR 32.00, governs public records held by government custodians, not private website data. The Massachusetts Address Confidentiality Program is governed by M.G.L. c.9A and 950 CMR 130.00; protected-address questions belong with the official program or the relevant custodian. We cannot alter Town, Registry, court, library, or state records.
Policy Changes
Any revision will be posted here. Continued use after a posted update means acceptance of the revised policy.
